We are Bert and Maria , a family with one daughter and three whippets and one borzoi.

Skippy, Samantha and Stefanie, the whippets and Tzarina, the borzoi.

Our first whippet was Smokey (born 20^th of February 1988) who became nearly 15 years old.

Then we had continuously greyhounds and whippets together with Abyssinian cats.

The origin of the kennel name derives from the name Maria del Carmen, Maria’s birth name.

The Spanish name Maria del Carmen derives from Our Lady of the mount Carmel.

The Carmel is a mountain in the Holy Land.
